The motto for Ruhrfestspiele 2022 is „Attitude and Hope“ (Haltung und Hoffnung). To emphasize the mottos’s positive vibe we developed a visual language based on dynamicly floating ribbons. These elements are playfully used in every media of this years season.

As a growing percentage of communication surrounding cultural festivals is done digital, the criteria for design shifts toward flexible components. Thus, we did not only provide for a lively design but for a number of digital documents and algorithms that helped to ease production of online and animated media.
