The program should reflect the diversity and liveliness of the festival itself. Accordingly, vibrant and colourful typography was created for the 2019 season. It guides the reader through the Ruhrfestspiele listings and is intended to vary from year to year.

Our first set of individual characters for Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen was created in collaboration with artist Andreas Steinbrecher. Together we developed a typeface that is both image and character, reflecting on the artistic approach of the festival.
